Action future: Mise en place d'un atelier de production de meuble

A Haïti, la situation n'est pas très positive, en effet les Haïtiens font face à un manque de ressource qui engendre donc constamment le besoin d'importer le marchandises dont le coût est bien souvent beaucoup trop élevé par rapport aux moyens des Haïtiens. Le manque de ressources entraine également un chômage élevé puisqu'ils n'ont pas les ressources pour produire eux-mêmes.

Nous nous sommes questionnés afin de trouver une solution pour remédier à cette situation c'est-à-dire à cette importation constante, ce chômage,... La solution de mettre en place un atelier de production local, nous a paru la plus judicieuse.

Nous avons d'ors et déjà investit dans des moyens de production pour la menuiserie. Nous avons également étudié les ressources du marché local afin de pouvoir obtenir le meilleur rapport qualité-prix des matériaux, en évitant de participer à la déforestation. De ce fait, nous voulons créer des modèles uniques designer sur les bois disponibles, afin de répondre au maximum aux attentes du public haïtien que ce soit au niveau de l'utilité du produit ou bien même au niveau esthétique de celui-ci

Le but étant de pouvoir créer une structure locale de production ainsi qu'un produit de qualité, qui seront tous deux durables dans le temps. Mais aussi de pouvoir proposer ces meubles construits grâce au savoir-faire manuel haïtien à des prix démocratiques, c'est-à-dire de rendre ces produits accessibles au plus grand nombre, à toutes les classes sociales, par son prix abordable pour tous.

Cette solution propose une aide aux Haïtiens afin de diminuer le chômage avec la création d'emplois locaux, de promouvoir le savoir-faire manuel des Haïtiens, de permettre aux habitants de pouvoir avoir des meubles de qualité à des prix abordables puisque non importés,...

Cette action viendra compléter l'action de formation aux métiers du bois qui est déjà en place à Haïti.

Training, learning to the basic techniques of carpenter's job


Objective: teach the bases of carpenter's job

Description:

This project approaches an approach integrated into the professional development, in particular the apprenticeship of the bases of a job by the wood, carpenter's job. We noticed that a major part of young people living in camps and having stopped their studies carried an interested, curious and eager to learn look when you practise a manual activity and besides, with tools.

With the financial support of our partners in France (Crédit Agricole, SAS La Tuile de Bois), we were able to include in the project of the construction of the hospital Drouillard Sarthe, hours of trainings concerning to the safety of construction site, the techniques of carpenter and the organization of a workstation. So, at the end of the project of this hospital, 63 Haitian were able to benefit completely from a minimum of 170 hours of trainings for the last newcomers and 210 hours of training for the first ones.

With data sheets (translated into Creole) and tools, our carpenters in the numbers of nine among which four journeymen were able to pass on their knowledges to their group (a carpenter for approximately ten workers). A mentioning diploma, the bases of the job as well as the made hours were delivered to these 63 persons, giving evidence of a regular follow-up of training in the bases of carpenter's job. Today, we have a particular pride to follow a group of five persons having participated in this training, having constituted a competent and autonomous working team. They are in their second contract of construction at private individuals there.


We tried to set up a training on a software of drawing CAO / DAO in partnership with the teams of SEMA, we had to abandon after the flight of our computer hardware that we were not able to renew.

Creation of workshops wood and training in the construction

Camaha wishes to bring to the local population the necessary training so that they can make and assemble the modules of wooden house, in any autonomy.

The association has already sent on-the-spot materials and launched the first workshops of modules. The labor apprentices are recruited locally in Haiti. They will be paid (according to the international aid program in cash for work) and trained in the building work of wooden houses.

Objective: it's a question of building 4 classroom of 50 m² each, aligned, put on blocks concrete. Buildings must be knockdown. Include in the project : a storage of 30 m².

Evolution of the project:

Panels wood for the assembly of the house are ready and protected by tents lent gracefully by Unicef.

Modular concept SOVECO, earthquake-resistant and anticyclonic

Project school, house on only one level, house with two levels

  

After the naturals disasters which affect the hermana republica of Haiti, Camaha decided to act for the recuperation of state. The association owes soon introduce the installation of 5500 "Soveco" modules, the emergencies constructions, earthquake-resistent and anticyclonic, with the objective to live little by little the population which lost their houses in the earthquake which take a swip the country. Camaha have a multidisciplinary team present at the moment in Haiti and which guarantee the assembly about 20 in 30 installations as well as the transmission of the French know-how. We would like to set up the construction of an orphanage for the unprotected children, and also a school. This last projects will owe be realised with the help of person of good volonty which desire contribute to the reconstruction of the country.

 
Project of day-nursery in Haiti

We work closely on the Project Haïti day-nursery of the foundation "Don d'Amour" foundation of home help, for the construction of an anti-cyclonic wooden building and seismic para.

We mobilize at present a machine and a second volunteer who is at present in Pointe à Pitre awaiting the transport towards Port-au-Prince. Another volunteer carpenter is in wait.

The commitment for this project of construction work-school construction wood is really what we know how to make.

We are besides in procedure of registration in the process in Haïti with institutions Haïtienne and Onusienne.

Briefly here is the progress of the last presidential elections in Haiti:

First round: september 28th, 2010, the electoral campaign begin with 19 candidates in race.

The first day of election is th 28th november. A lot of problems have places through the country for this first day, soiled by the epidemic of cholera which rages in the North of the country. However the authorities annonce an optimistic humor for this first tour in spite of plundered polling stations and damaged electoral convoys.

I spend the period when the CEP (temporary electoral council) confirms the vote and when the candidates in list ask the cancellation. Come then a lond period of protest of these results not still announced while the rumors instigate.
